You may need to edit a sales order after it has already been approved and the items have been issued—whether due to an error in the order or a change in item quantities.
In “Edara”, this can be done easily by following these steps.
Editing a Sales Order Linked to an Issue Offering
To edit a sales order linked to an issue offering document in the approvals system:
1- Deleting the Issue Offering
Go to the Warehouse module.
Open the “Issue Offerings” page.
Click the 🔍 icon and enter the order code.
Select the relevant document.
Click on “Delete”.
Confirm by clicking “Yes”.
Note: You can shortcut this step by clicking the IO document directly from the Related Documents section within the sales order—provided you have the necessary permission.
2- Deleting Related Documents
Make sure to delete any documents linked to the sales order (e.g., Cash In, Notes Receivable, etc.).
3- Canceling the Approvals on the Sales Order
Go to the Sales module.
Open the “Sales Approvals” page.
Click the ✔️ icon to toggle it to 🚫 and cancel the approval.
Click the 📋 icon next to the sales order code to open the order.
Click on “Edit”.
Make the required changes.
Note: If you need to modify the order date, make sure you have the proper permission to do so.
Click on “Update”.
After completing your changes, re-approve the sales order and recreate any related documents as needed.
