Companies may need to change an item code to correct a previously entered error. In this article, we explain the steps to accomplish that.
Changing Item Code
1- Go to the Settings module
2- Open “Module settings”
3- Choose "Warehouse"
4- Turn off the “Auto-generated” setting for Code
5- Click “Save”
6- Go to the warehouse module
7- Open “Stock items”
8- Search for the item to change its code using the 🔍 icon or arrows.
9- Click “Edit”
Note: You can also edit through the Stock items bulk edit page
10- Modify the item code
11- Click “Save”
