Creating items in "Edara" is a fundamental step that greatly contributes to organizing and improving inventory management processes.
Creating a Stock Item
"Edara" provides two methods for item coding:
1- Direct Creating
1- Go to the warehouse module
2- Open “Stock items”
3- Click "New"
4- Select or add a tag for the item
5- Write the item code
Note: You can control the code properties in the section settings. "Edara" allows you to enable or disable four properties:
"Show": Display the item code during coding
"Required": Specify whether creating the code is mandatory
"Unique": Create a unique, non-repeatable code
"Auto-generate": Allow the program to generate the code automatically without user intervention
6- Write the item name
7- Add the “Other language description” if available
8- Write the “Part number”
Note: "Edara" allows you to control the part number like the item code through the section settings.
9- Add the SKU
10- Specify the “Item location” if the item has a specific storage place
11- Write the “OE number”, if available
12- Write the “Weight”, if available
13- Specify if the item has a single unit of measure or multiple units
14- Set the sale price
15- Set the Dealer price
16- Set the Super dealer price
17- Set the minimum price
Note: You can enable or disable (Prevent selling under minimum price) through the section settings.
18- Record the warranty, if available
19- Record the Validity period, if available
20- Set the default tax rate or choose no tax
21- Set the default Default withholding rate or choose no tax
22- Select the item brand
23- Specify suppliers if the item has specific suppliers
24- Choose the classification
Note: You can specify the classification coding method, whether System coding, free coding, or no coding in the settings.
25- Set the Opening unit cost (last cost, average cost, FIFO, LIFO)
26- Record the item dimensions, if available
27- Activate or deactivate Enforce serial entry
28- Activate or deactivate Allow serial duplication
29- Activate or deactivate Use batch number
Note: You cannot disable the batch number setting again after performing any transactions on the item.
30- Add the opening balance
31- Set the reorder point (maximum and minimum)
32- Add the item image if available, using the 📎 icon
33- Write any notes about the product, using the 📋 icon
34- Click "Save"
2- Creating through the chart
Go to the warehouse module
Click on "Chart of stock items"
Select the classification
Click "New Stock Item"
Write the item details as in the first method
Click "Save"
