Creating a Chart of Stock Items (Classifications)
Updated over a week ago

The stock item chart (classification) is an effective part of warehouse management strategy, providing a clear visualization of the warehouse environment and helping organize products through a precise classification structure.

This enables companies to improve inventory visibility and facilitate search and tracking operations.

In this article, we will outline the step-by-step process of creating an item map through "Edara."

How to create a chart of stock items (classifications)

  • Go to the Warehouses Module

  • Click "chart of stock items”

  • Stand in the classification and then click "New Group"

Note: You can create a main group named after the company, with sub-groups representing the company's departments.

  • Stand on the classification and click "New Group" to create a new classification under the current classification.

Note: You can create an item from the chart of stock items. For detailed steps, refer to the article: Creating a Stock Item.

How to Determine the Classification Coding Method

"Edara" allows you to specify whether classifications are uncoded, freely coded, or automatically coded. To set this up, follow these steps:

  • Go to the Settings page

  • Select Department Settings

  • Choose Warehouses

  • Activate the appropriate options

  • Click "Save"
