Installation of the App:

  • To begin, install Edara App from the Shopify App Store.

  • Follow the simple installation steps to get started.

Installation Steps:

Stage 1: Get Started:

  • In the "Get Started" stage, enter your Edara URL (e.g., abc.edara.io) to integrate it with your Shopify store.

  • If you haven’t an Edara account, click on "Contact us" to reach our team.

Stage 2: Account Verification:

  • Enter your Edara username (not user email) and password to validate your account.

  • We'll check that your Edara pricing plan is the "Ultimate Plan" (mandatory) for successful integration.

  • In case of incorrect credentials or an incompatible pricing plan, you won’t be able to complete the installation

Stage 3: Setup:

  • In the third step, called 'Setup,' you'll find three sections: products, orders, and customers.

  • Products Section:

    • This section includes the setting 'stock item classification,' which will serve as the parent classification for products created from Shopify to Edara.

    • Choose the price type (Sales Price, Dealer Price, or Super Dealer) to map with Shopify prices.

  • Orders Section:

    • This section includes the setting 'Warehouse/Store' to specify the default warehouse or store for all created orders from Shopify,

    • Select a 'Salesperson' to associate with Shopify orders, and choose a 'Service Item' to include in your Shopify orders.

  • Customers' Section:

    • Add the 'AR Account,' which will serve as the default account for customers created in Edara.

    • The integration user on Edara must have data permissions on the accounts.

Stage 4: Initial Import:

In this stage, you'll determine how products, customers, and orders are imported.

  • Products:

    • “from Edara to Shopify” choice: the existing stock items will be imported from Edara to Shopify.

    • “from Shopify to Edara” choice: the existing products will be imported from Shopify to Edara.

    • “no import” choice won’t make any action. (This option is suitable if the company already has items on Edara and Shopify)

  • Customers:

    • “all customers” choice: the existing customers will be imported from Shopify to Edara.

    • “only new customers” choice: the created customers after finishing the installation will be imported from Shopify to Edara.

  • Orders:

    • “all orders” choice: all existing orders will be imported from Shopify to Edara regardless of its status

    • “unfulfilled orders” choice: all existing orders have “unfulfilled” status will be imported from Shopify to Edara.

    • “new orders” choice: the created orders after starting the integration will be imported from Shopify to Edara.

    • In the choices “all orders” and “unfulfilled orders” you must specify the integration start date, while in the choice “new orders” the date of finishing the installation is the integration start date.

      • The integration start date is the date on which synchronization starts from

      • The orders page displays the orders created from this date

Stage 5: Confirm:

  • Review the installation summary of your chosen integration settings.

  • Once you're satisfied, click "Confirm" to apply the configurations.

General tips

  • We recommend testing the integration between Edara sandbox and Shopify development store before go live

  • You can request the Edara sandbox from our support team via live chat

  • You can create a development store on Shopify by following this article

  • You should enable the Products & stock items synchronization after finishing the installation because the setting is OFF by default
