Automatic customers and products linking between “Shopify” and “Edara” helps resolve unlinked records without the need for manual linking. This is achieved by applying matching rules that automatically link records and ensure that order synchronization continues smoothly and accurately.
Configuring Automatic Linking Rules for Products and Customers Between “Edara” and “Shopify”
Go to the “System”.
Open the “Extensions Store” page.
Click on “Shopify”.
Click on the “⁝” next to the required store.
Click on “Manage”.
Click on “Unlinked” under product synchronization.
A screen will appear showing products that are not linked between “Shopify” and “Edara”.
Select the product linking method as “Automatic”.
Click on “
” next to Linking Rules.
Select the product matching method.
If only one match is found, the products will be linked automatically.
Select the action to take when multiple matching records are found.
If no match is found, the available action is “Do nothing”.
Click on “Save”.
After configuring the linking rules, choose when they should be applied:
Now: Click on “Start Link” to run a one-time bulk link on all unlinked products.
Automatic Triggers: Click on “🖉” next to Automatic Triggers, then enable “On Order Create” or “On Order Update” based on your needs.
The linking rules will be applied automatically when there is a product on "Shopify" that is not linked to a stock item in "Edara".
Note: You can apply the same automatic linking steps to customers by clicking on “Unlinked” under customer synchronization and configuring the linking rules in the same way. When no match is found, you can choose either “Do nothing” or “Create and Link,” and the system will create a new record in Edara using Shopify data, then link it.
