Printing Barcodes Including Batch Numbers
Printing Barcodes Including Batch Numbers
Updated over a week ago

"Edara" allows you to print and read batch numbers along with model codes using barcodes, enabling their use in issue documents. This not only enhances accuracy but also speeds up processes, avoiding manual input errors.

Printing Barcodes Including Batch Numbers

Before starting, ensure you activate the batch number barcode setting by following these steps:

  • Go to "Settings"

  • Select "General"

  • Enable the "Allow selection of batch number using barcode" setting

Afterward, save a barcode template that includes the batch number along with the part number and use it to print barcodes for items from an additional document (such as a purchase order or goods receipt).

Important Note

"Edara" uses the underscore (_) as a separator between the model code and the batch number in the barcode, which it reads together.

For example, if the model code is "12345" and the batch number is "334455", they will be read together in the barcode as "334455_12345", and "Edara" relies on this separator to distinguish between the information.

Therefore, ensure not to use this character in item descriptions before activating this setting.
