The "Buy X Get Y" promotion offers an additional incentive for shopping. It enables you to provide your customers with free items or percentage-based discounts when they purchase a certain number of items from your product range.
To successfully set up this type of promotion in Edara, follow these steps:
Creating a "Buy X Get Y" Promotion
Go to the Point of Sale module.
Select Promotions.
Click on “New”.
Enter a name for the promotion and a short brief description.
Choose Buy X Get Y.
Note: The promotion type cannot be changed after the promotion is saved.
Specify which cash registers (POS) this promotion applies to.
Define the eligible purchase period.
Select the days of the week the promotion is valid.
Enter the minimum purchase units for eligibility.
Identify the products included in the promotion.
When you select specific products, you will be presented with two options:
Include: List all products eligible for the promotion.
Exclude: Apply the promotion to all products except those you specify.
Define the Customer Benefits details
Here you have two options:
1- Free Product
Enter the quantity of free units offered.
Identify products eligible as rewards (using the same "Include/Exclude" method above).
Click on “Save”.
2- Discount (%)
Enter the percentage discount.
Specify the number of units eligible for the discount.
Identify products eligible as rewards (using the same "Include/Exclude" method above).
Click on “Save”.
