Selecting the Type of Measure Units
Selecting the Type of Measure Units
Updated over a week ago

"Edara" provides two methods for recording multiple units of measure (Free units of measure - Chain units of measure), allowing you to choose the appropriate method based on the nature of your work.

Here is the difference between the two methods and the steps to choose one of them.

These units of measure are not pre-arranged in specific groups, but the ratios and main units of measure are determined at the stock item level.

Example: If you deal with many items, each having two basic units (box and piece) but each item has a different number of pieces per box (box of 2 pieces, box of 3 pieces, etc.), it is best to use free units of measure, specifying the ratios of pieces to boxes at the stock item level.

This is a group of related units of measure, The units of measure are assigned to a main unit of measure at the chain level, and then the items are linked to a chain of units of measure.

How to Choose the Type of Units of measure

  • Go to the “Warehouse” module

  • Choose "Unit of Measures"

Note: You can choose the type of Units of measure suitable for you when coding for the first time. This type cannot be changed after any transactions have been made on items linked to units of measure.

If you encounter any challenges or have any questions during these processes, you can contact our technical support team, who are ready to assist you.
