Configuring Purchases Settings in “Edara 3.0”

Before using the Purchasing module in “Edara 3”, it is recommended to review and configure the basic settings to ensure the system operates efficiently, especially when upgrading from “Edara 2”. This helps ensure data consistency between the two systems and avoids errors during operation or product import.

Configuring Purchases Settings in “Edara 3.0”

  • Go to “System”.

  • Open the “Settings” page.

  • Select “V 3.0” Settings.

Note: This page is only available to the system administrator. Make sure you have “System Administrator” permissions to access it.

  • Click on “Modules activation”.

  • Enable the “Purchasing” module.

  • Type “Confirm”.

  • Click on “Activate”.

  • Enable the “Invoicing” module.

  • Type “Confirm”.

  • Click on “Activate”.

  • Select the “Activated transactions”.

  • Click on “Save”.

  • Go to the “organization profile”.

  • Enter your company details. These details will appear later when printing purchase invoices.

  • Go to “Products”.

  • Click on “Product Fields Configuration”.

  • Select how to control fields such as ( Name – Part number – SKU – Brand). Each field has two options:

    • Required: When enabled, entering a value for this field becomes mandatory, and the stock item can’t be created or updated without it.

    • Unique: When enabled, the same value cannot be repeated across multiple items, and each item must have a distinct value.

  • Click on “Save”.

Note: The field settings (Required/Unique) must match those in “Edara 2” to ensure that data is transferred correctly without errors. If a field is marked as Required, products will not be imported if this field is empty in the import file.
