Creating Customized Document Print Templates

The print template design tool helps you create custom templates for printing documents tailored to your business needs, while allowing you to control the appearance of data, tables, and formatting within the print template.

Creating Customized Document Print Templates

  1. Go to the “Print Templates” extension.

  2. Choose a suitable template from the suggested Pre-Designed templates.

The Print Template Designer currently supports Sales Order, Sales Quotes, and Sales Invoice documents. You can create a new template by clicking on “Blank”.

After selecting the suitable template, you will be automatically redirected to the template Designer Page, where you can customize it to suit your needs. There, you’ll find a set of tools and settings that give you flexibility in designing templates:

1. Fields

You can add or edit elements within the template, such as:

  • Sections: such as company information, Bill to, Line items, and more.

  • Fields: such as warehouse/store, order code, order number, and more.

  • Widgets: such as text block, images, tables, and more.

You can drag and drop elements to the appropriate position within the template and rearrange them according to the required design.

2. Layout

You can control the template layout through:

  • Selecting the paper size (A4 - A5 - Letter - Receipt).

  • Choosing the template layout (Standard - Modern - Bold - Minimal - Retail - Compact).

3. Style

You can control the appearance of elements through:

  • Typography style: such as font family, size, weight, text alignment, line height, text color, and letter spacing.

  • Table Styling: such as showing borders, controlling their width, color, and style, controlling Zebra Striping, stripe color, cell padding, header background, and header text color.

4. Settings

You can control the template settings through:

  • Editing the template name.

  • Setting the text direction and field label language.

  • Adjusting the page margins.

  • Enabling the display of the header and footer, selecting their height, and controlling their repetition on each printed page.

Notes:

  • Changes are saved automatically during the design process.

  • You can use undo and redo shortcuts (Ctrl+Z / Ctrl+Y).

  • A full-screen mode is available to improve the design experience.

After completing the design, you can export the template and import it later when creating print templates using Advanced Mode.

If you encounter any challenges or have questions during these processes, you can contact our technical support team, who are ready to assist you at any time.
