Displaying Account Balance on Printed Cash Documents

A customer or supplier may need to know their current balance after any cash-in or cash-out transaction. “Edara” allows you to display the account balance on the printed cash document.

Displaying Account Balance on Printed Cash Documents

  • Go to “Settings”.

  • Open the “Print Setup” page.

  • Select the “Accounting” section.

  • Choose the “Cash In” or “Cash Out” document.

  • Select a print template other than the default one, since the “System template” cannot be modified.

  • Click on “More Actions”.

  • Click on “Edit”.

  • Open the “Document Details” section.

  • Enable “Account Balance”.

  • Enter the text you want to appear on the printout.

  • Click on “Save”.

  • When printing, make sure to select the template you modified so the account balance appears.

The account balance is shown only to users who have permission. If not authorized, the message “Unpermitted account” will be displayed instead.

Notes:

  • The user must have permission to access the modified template to use it.

  • The account balance appears without applying any filter to the selected customer or cost center, and it is displayed along with the system’s international currency code (such as EGP – USD).
