Creating a Sales Target

Sales managers typically set specific sales targets and agree with their teams on achieving them within a set timeframe. To motivate the salespersons, they create sales incentives and link them to those targets. Eventually, they use the Sales Tracker Report to determine who qualifies for the incentives and process the payouts.

“Edara” enables you to manage this entire process efficiently. Here's how to create a new sales target.

Creating a Sales Target

  • Go to the Sales module.

  • Open the “Sales Target” page.

  • Click on “Add New Sales Target”.

  • Enter the target name in the “Description” field.

  • Choose the Target Owner (the user who can edit or delete it).

  • Set the timeframe for the target (From – To).

Note: The Document Date field only reflects the creation date of the target—it does not affect the active period of the sales target.

  • Select the “Currency” for the target.

  • Choose the Target Level (Warehouse – Salesperson).

  • Assign one or more Warehouses or Salespersons (Based on your selection).

Next, choose the target type and how it will be applied:

  1. Aggregate Target: Applied to all items in the system. Data is entered at the header level. You can optionally filter it by item category.

  2. Detailed Target: Applied to specific items selected via the search bar (regular or service items). Data is entered per line item.

You can set a target for quantity only, value only, or both (choose whether both conditions must be met “And” or either “Or”).

  • Click on “Save”.
