Importing stock transfers via Excel

You can import stock transfers using an Excel file, allowing you to add large quantities of items quickly and accurately, especially when dealing with a large number of items.

Importing stock transfers via Excel

This process requires three steps:

Step 1: Exporting an Excel File from the System

  • Go to the “warehouse” module.

  • Open the "Warehouse stocks" page.

  • Select the warehouse from which the stock items will be transferred.

  • Select the stock items classifications.

  • Set the balance status to “Non-zero balance”.

  • Go to the “Custom view”.

  • Enable the columns you want to display, such as (Item Description – Local on-hand balance).

  • Click on "Generate".

  • Hover over the “+” icon.

  • Click on "Excel".

Step 2: Preparing the Excel File

  • Open the Excel file

  • Rename the column "Warehouse Balance" to "Quantity".

  • Enter the quantities of the items you want to transfer.

Notes:

  1. Make sure to delete the totals row before uploading the file to avoid any import issues.

  2. If you want to include stock item serial numbers in the same file, you can add a new column next to “Quantity” named “Serial Number” and enter the relevant data. If you prefer to add serial numbers in a separate step later, you can refer to the article “Bulk Adding and Editing Serial Numbers in Documents”.

  • Save the modifications made to the file.

Step 3: Importing the Excel File After Editing

  • Go to the “warehouse” module.

  • Open the "Issue transfers" page.

  • Select the source warehouse.

  • Click on "New".

  • Select the destination warehouse.

  • Click the "" icon to import the file.

  • Choose the edited Excel file.

  • Click on "Save".

Note: You can print the barcodes for these stock items in bulk by clicking on “” and then clicking on “Print All”.
