Importing stock transfers via Excel

"Edara" allows you to import inventory transfers through Excel to list the quantities to be transferred and re-import the file. This article details the steps involved.

Importing stock transfers via Excel

This process requires three steps:

Step 1: Exporting an Excel File from the System

  • Go to the warehouse module

  • Open the "Warehouse stocks report"

  • Select the warehouse

  • Ensure the balance status is set to "Non-zero Balances"

  • Click "Generate"

  • Click on the "+" icon

  • Select "Excel"

Step 2: Preparing the Excel File

  • Open the Excel file

  • Rename the column "Warehouse Balance" to "Quantity"

  • Enter the quantities of the items according to the amount of the items to be transferred

Note: Ensure you delete the totals row before re-uploading the file to avoid any issues with the upload.

Step 3: Importing the Transfer

  • Go to the warehouse module

  • Open "Issue transfers"

  • Click on "New"

  • Select the source warehouse

  • Select the destination warehouse

  • Click the "⇅" icon to import the item quantities excel

  • Choose the Excel document

  • Click "Save"
