There are two ways to enter the opening balances of accounts

First way manually

  • Go to accounting

  • Open opening entry page

  • Click load

  • Insert the accounts opening balance

    • Defaults for assets and expenses is debit

    • Defaults for liabilities, owners equity and revenues is credit

  • Click save

⭐The opening entry must be balanced (debit side = credit side)


Second way by Excel

  • Go to accounting

  • Open opening entry page

  • Click load

  • Click on Excel

  • Insert the accounts opening balance in the excel sheet

    • Defaults for assets and expenses is debit

    • Defaults for liabilities, owners equity and revenues is credit

⭐The opening entry must be balanced (debit side = credit side) in the excel sheet

  • Upload the excel sheet after updating by click on ⇵

  • Click save
