# Deactivate a Stock Item

If you have several items that you’ve stopped using for a while, you can easily deactivate them through "Edara."

## Deactivate a Stock Item

First, ensure that the item’s balance is zero so that you can deactivate it. Then follow these steps:

1. Go to the Warehouse module
2. Select "Stock items activation"
3. Specify activation status (Active)
4. Click on " **Load** ”
5. Search for the item(s) you want to deactivate using the 🔎 icon and select them by clicking ▢
6. Click " **Deactivate** "

As a result, the items will no longer appear in orders but will only be visible in reports.
