After completing a production order, the cost of raw materials may change due to subsequent updates to the related inventory movements. This may cause the previously recorded finished product cost to differ from the updated actual raw material cost. You can therefore review completed production orders and reconcile their costs to update the finished product cost based on the updated actual cost.

## Reviewing and Reconciling Production Order Cost Differences, When Applicable

1. Go to the “Manufacturing” module.
2. Open the “Production Order” page.
3. Click on “ **Filter** ”.
4. Click on “ **Add Condition** ”.
5. Select the “Completion” column.
6. Select the “is” condition.
7. Select “Completed” as the value.
8. Click on “ **Apply Changes** ”.
9. Select the production orders you want to reconcile.
10. Click on “ **More Actions** ”.
11. Select “Cost reconciliation”.
12. Click on “ **Start Check** ”.

The system will check the selected production orders and compare the previously recorded cost of the raw materials with the actual cost of the issued offerings. It will then display a summary showing the number of orders with cost differences out of the total number of orders checked.

If there are any differences, you can export the check results to an Excel file for review. The file shows the previously recorded cost, the updated actual issue offerings cost, the unit cost difference, and the total financial impact resulting from the cost difference.

After reviewing the differences, you can determine whether they require reconciliation and then perform the reconciliation for the required orders.

If there are no differences in the raw material costs, a message will appear indicating that there are no production orders requiring reconciliation.

> **Notes:**
>
> - “Cost reconciliation” is available only for completed production orders.
> - If production orders include intermediate products that are used as components in manufacturing other products, you must reconcile the costs of the intermediate products first, then reconcile the costs of the finished products to ensure that production costs are calculated correctly.
